Background to the Pod:
Rio Young stepped into the music scene alongside the group known as ‘Da Fellowship’ with their debut EP ‘Music for the People’ in September 2008, to date the EP has shifted over 500 copies. Unfortunately the group came to an end, however without concluding Rio continued on as solo artist. The single off the EP 'Music' was a notable favourite amongst the listeners, therefore recently a music video has been shot to capitalise on the buzz. The video will follow shortly after the warm-up underground promo 'Grind', which was performed on stage at iluvlive @ Sound in June 09' to promote iluvlive's 5th birthday and Bashy's album launch 'Catch me If you Can'. It was at this event that 'Rio Young' gain tremendous support, most notability Rio was asked to feature on Ras Kwame’s BBC 1xtra show called ‘100% home-grown talent’ and was playlisted on the Ronnie Herel R&B show for 12 weeks running. With such impressive ever building credentials and new management Rio is destined for mainstream success and longevity, The debut single ‘Music’ is now available digitally on Itunes, Amazon, and Play.com
