Background to the Pod:
Having a video today for managing an artist is beneficial as it is more intimate, up close and personal, giving management a brief insight to the artist and their characteristics. Social media enables smaller artist to compete with major artist as it gives them the exposure that they need to get recognised. There are various avenues that can be taken in order to raise the profile of an unsigned artist, but the one that is mainly used is videos. Most artists will use online networking sites to promote themselves as well as downloading sites just to get a bit of publicity. For example: Facebook, Myspace for promotion use and exposure and sound cloud, mix CDs for recognition. View More Pods
